Treatments for a Metabolic Acidosis

Treatments for a metabolic acidosis is a condition when the human body reacts to high levels of acid in the blood cells. One cause of the high acid in the blood cells is too much intake of acidity and acid forming foods in the diet. Metabolic acidosis can be treated by following a particular diet.
Acidity and acid forming foods:
  • Animal protein: beef, lamb, pork, rabbit, lobster, ham, sausage
  • Dairy products: cheese, milk and its derivatives
  • White pasta: spaghetti
  • Selected nuts: peanuts, brazil nuts
  • Selected beans: kidney beans, beans
  • Alcohol
High acidity in the blood cells can impair the function of the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is responsible for releasing hormones that are essential to run the body's metabolism. Decline in hormones causes slow metabolism which can lead to weight gain.

Conversely, when the thyroid gland produces too much hormone, human beings can lose weight in a normal speed that can be life threatening.

Diabetes mellitus occurs when the body has too much sugar in the blood cells. This is caused by impaired insulin regulation is responsible for the transfer of glucose from the blood cells to the liver and muscle tissue. Increase in cortisol levels (caused by metabolic acidosis) has caused disruption for insulin regulation.

Treatments for a Metabolic Acidosis:
  • Consume more food energy (organic raw food)
  • Eliminate acidity and acid forming food of any kind
  • Avoid soda
  • Drinking pure water
  • Food cooked or processed may be harmful to the human body, especially when it is processed using certain cooking ingredients that are even more dangerous environmental exposures generally and in particular the human body.
Several studies have been published also mentioned certain foods have a tendency to increased risk of cancer in humans when consumed as cooked food. However, through living foods, the body balances out the acidity.
